Eight Things About Me


Players start with eight random facts/habits about themselves.

Ok, so 8 things about me

1. I am a high school drop out. At 15 the whole world found out about me being gay, by 16 things at home and at school were so bad, I dropped out and got a G.E.D. (near perfect score even though I failed 9 of 10 classes my last two years in high school).


2. I am far more comfortable with animals than people. I get along with people just fine for the most part, I just don't trust them. I trust critters.

3. At age 27, a Garth Brooks song saved my life. I was sitting on the boat dock at UMASS, it was mid Feb. I had a bottle of sleeping pills and a quart of vodka ready to go. I was going to take the pills, drink the vodka, and then slip into the water to die. I had my Walkman on, and Garth's song 'The River' started to play. I had never listened to the words before; they seemed to be what I needed to hear. Maybe even the Hokey Pokey would have changed my mind, who knows.

4. I should have been a parasitologist and worked in remote places.

5. Don’t touch my tools, it pisses me off. And yes, I *do* need to leave them out where I can see them sometimes, I *like* them!

6. I am addicted to The Deadliest Catch, and any other show I might learn something cool from.

7. The only things I fear are, being on fire, being helpless to save a loved one’s life, or that I was not a good Mom to my dog Katie and that she never felt how much I loved her(the pooch in my icon above).

8. I have not defended my thesis yet because I cannot bring myself to set foot on that campus again to get all the paperwork and other garbage done.
